Moto2 2024 grid: What we know so far

An update on the confirmations and rumours for the 2024 Moto2 Championship

The past few weeks have seen a wave of new announcements regarding the 2024 Moto2 grid. It looks like there will be a lot of movement ahead of next season, with 3 rookies being promoted from Moto3 already. There are currently 12 seats empty, so we can likely expect another one or two new names to be joining them.

2023 has already been quite tumultuous in terms of contracts and movements, with Taiga Hada permanently replacing Lorenzo Dalla Porta in SAG racing, Alberto Surra taking over from Marcos Ramírez at Forward, and who in turn is replacing Sean Dylan Kelly over at American. This leaves 2 riders who were contracted at the beginning of this season, now without a seat.

2024 will also see MT Helmets taking over from Pons Racing, who will leave the paddock at the end of the year due to financial difficulties.

The table below shows all the latest on each of the riders. Find the current, 2023, grid on the left hand side, with the confirmations and rumours next to them. Once more to the left is the teams they currently ride for, and the rightmost column shows what those teams are looking like in 2024. Riders in bold are those who are new to the grid.

Please note- any rumours are just that, and have been compiled from talk amongst journalists, remarks from commentators, and some hints from the riders themselves, but should not be taken as fact.
